Join Carole P. Roman as she visits the Republic of Italy. Learn what it is like to live in Rome, see the famous architecture, celebrate a favorite holiday and discover popular names for both boys and girls. Be fascinated with it’s diverse and rich history and colorful traditions. On the way, you might learn a word or two in Italian!
The most our children know or for us that matter about Italy is the food there. But Carole Roman has chosen to add this book to her If You Were Me series and frankly I am very glad she did. I love letting my children expand their knowledge on a particular subject. Italy has a lot more to offer us then great food. which by the way their food is outstanding and I have heard you have not lived until you have had pizza from Italy itself.
The Vatican is located in Italy. So Catholicism is the main religion there. If you are a child there you may have the name Sergio if you are a boy or Giana if you are a girl. You would refer to your parents as Mama and Daddy. Instead of ice cream you would feast on gelato. Rome is popular for its architecture. Your grandparents would be referred to as Nonno and Nonna.
Italy is a country rich in culture whether its their famous buildings, food, or their social events. This country has a lot to teach us.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
