Has discipleship come to an end in today’s church? What does the lay person need to know to disciple those around him or her?
The author gives profound evidence backed by scripture to prove his point that discipleship is indeed relevant today and it is something needed to further Christ’s mission. He goes into great detail both Biblically and historically to prove Jesus’ work to be of the utmost importance today. With rich clarity he expands on all sorts of different methods to get his point across. I was taken back with all the information that was provided.
The author goes on to provide his own commentary and experiences on the subject but what I found that was a common thread was that in order for today’s church to succeed discipleship has to happen and it needs to happen from now until Christ’s return. Newcomers that fall under ALL categories not just new Christian need to have an elder or someone with similar experience to come along side and lead if ever we can bring others and keep others in the church.
This book gives detailed instruction on trying to switch our focus to what started the movement towards Christianity and it’s basis in the first place. A must read for anyone wanting to know more about this fascinating subject.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
